Privacy Notice

Draft, pending legal review. Last updated: 6 October 2026.

Who we are

HHData.co.uk is a service operated by Murphy Technologies Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (no. 14550913), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. For the data described below, Murphy Technologies Ltd is the data controller. You can contact us at privacy@hhdata.co.uk.

The information we collect

  • From the person placing the order: name, company, email address and phone number.
  • About the account holder (the business whose meter it is): company, contact name, email address and phone number.
  • About the meter: the MPAN(s) and site address.
  • The half-hourly consumption data for the meter, once the account holder has authorised its release.
  • Order and payment records, including the payment reference (card details are handled by our payment provider, not by us).

How and why we use it

  • To provide the service you have ordered: the account holder authorises the release, and we retrieve the half-hourly data and deliver it to you. We use the data only for this purpose.
  • Lawful bases: performance of our contract with the person placing the order; our legitimate interest in operating the service; and, for obtaining the account holder's data, the account holder's explicit authorisation given on the confirmation screen.
  • Marketing (optional): if, on the confirmation screen, the account holder ticks the box to hear from us, we will contact them about solar funding and ways to reduce their energy costs. This is based on their consent, it is never a condition of the service, and they can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, with: the licensed industry data provider used to retrieve the half-hourly data; our payment provider, to take payment; and our email and hosting providers. We do not sell personal data. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (ordinarily six years). We retain the half-hourly data only as long as needed to deliver and support your order, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or object to our use of your personal data, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To exercise any of these, email privacy@hhdata.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
